In 2005, the Soltage model was born out of a belief that there is a better way to generate and provide electricity to energy consuming entities nationwide. In discussions with institutions including businesses, government, academic centers, and non-profits, Soltage founders repeatedly heard a clearly articulated desire to better manage energy costs by employing greater control over means of production and procurement. Strategies were available to these institutions, but the cost and complexity of implementation represented barriers that were difficult to overcome.


Soltage founders viewed the solar energy capital cost barriers as both a challenge as well as an opportunity and harnessed financial, technical, and operational expertise to create a business model that provides clients with energy strategies that they want alongside to the cost structure and ease of implementation that they need.

Today Soltage is pleased to offer clients a no-fee solar option that is practical, simple, and accessible. At no cost to our partners we install a customized Soltage™ PowerStation on their premises, generate as much energy as the site can support, and then provide this energy at a fixed cost that is at or below retail rates.
